چکیده

We study a fuliy inertial discrete model of a martensitic phase transition which takes into account i'teractions of first and seconJ nearest neighbors. Although the model is Hamiltonian at the mi,croscale, itqenerates a nontrivial macroscopic relation between Lhe velocity of the mlrtensitic phase boundary and the conjugate configurational force. The appare't dissipatio' is due to the i'duced radiation of lattice waves carrying energy away from tlie front.

Chapter 5 EXPLICIT KINETIC RELATION FROM " FIRST PRINCIPLES "

We study a fully inertial discrete model of a martensitic phase transition which takes into account interactions of first and second nearest neighbors. Although the model is Hamiltonian at the microscale^ it generates a nontrivial macroscopic relation between the velocity of the martensitic phase boundary and the conjugate configurational force. The apparent dissipation is due to the induced ra...

Beyond kinetic relations

We introduce the concept of kinetic or rate equations for moving defects representing a natural extension of the more conventional notion of a kinetic relation. Algebraic kinetic relations, widely used to model dynamics of dislocations, cracks and phase boundaries, link the instantaneous value of the velocity of a defect with an instantaneous value of the driving force. The new approach general...

The explicit relation among the edge versions of detour index

The vertex version of detour index was defined during the works on connected graph in chemistry. The edge versions of detour index have been introduced ecently. In this paper, the explicit relations among edge versions of detour index have been declared and due to these relations, we compute the edge detour indices for some well-known graphs.
